Description Jiri Novak 2010-02-18 10:09:34 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; cs-CZ; rv:1.9.2.0) Gecko/20100115 SUSE/3.6.0-1.2 Firefox/3.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

I have shutdown problem after last kernel upgrade (now I have 2.6.31.12-0.1-default i686). The shutdown (either from KDE or from console) is OK except for the power supply - it hangs in ON state... My CPU is Pentium IV HT.

I think the problem is associated with kernel - there is many discussions about it on the web, you can find some patches, but not for openSUSE :-(

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. shutdown the system (either from GUI/KDE or from console)

Actual Results:
everything shuts down, but the power supply

Expected Results:
power supply OFF

This one was reported previously in bug #578222. The fix will be available in the next kernel update.
