identical issue to report lenovo t60p - was using with 11.2 - broken with 11.3 rc1 +factory use YaST to enable fingerprint reader - and launch user management - did the three swipes to capture a fingerprint ID for user - all seems to go ok. logout or reboot makes no difference: on login screen user selected and prompted for password or scan - but swipe not even acknowledged that it did not capture properly - like "capture unsuccessful try slower swipt" or whatever that you sometimes get in 11.2 I have tracked this down. It is a display manager problem. Login (console) as well as gnome-screensaver works fine, GDM and KDM fail. Magnus, David: Please file bugs against GDM and KDM to get this fixed. I suspect that they have dropped patches which they shouldn't ;-) Thanks! |
