Description Juergen Weigert 2010-03-24 11:58:16 UTC
Today I recieved notification that two of my packages in CrossToolchain:avr failed to build.

I would have expected an email mentioning
 the project name once,
then for each package name, the tabular output of 'osc results'

The subject of the e-mail should indicate that there are multiple packages that failed, and multiple platforms, if so.

What I actually got, was an email with the subject
'Build failure of CrossToolchain:avr/avr-example for openSUSE_11.0/x86_64'
-- this is misleading, as it leaves the impression, that all was well for e.g. 11.2 or Factory. (I don't care much about 11.0); only the body of the mail shows that these platforms also fail.
-- this is misleading, as it only mentiones one minor package, leaving the impression that all other packages succeed. In fact the body of the mail shows that also 'simulavr' -- a much more important package -- failed too.

The body of the mail repeats instructions how to review a build log, and how to check out a package 76 times in total. Once would have been sufficient.

This bloats the email to over 1000 lines.
As added redundancy multiple versions of avr-example (1.0-4.1) (1.1-1.1)
are reported. I'd be only interested in the latest version.

enhancement idea:
add the last few lines of the failing build logs.

This one is duplicate, and fixed :-)
