It is a real pain to see that the console version of yast2 fails and yet the X version works.  The problem has been fixed but as a reminder.  Please check both console and X before saying it is working.  This problem was a lack of something that caused the console version of YaST2>Network Services>Network Devices to show up with a red banner error.  I saw this same error on other YaST2 selection.
The problem for me was setting the correct IP address on the card.  With the openSuSE if-eth0 and auto-dhcp as default was the problem.

Please attach YaST logs.
It's actually helpful to attach them to (almost) every bug report
for YaST.
