As of now iFolder does not provide any mechanism by which users can be enabled/disabled in bulk. The only option available is to use iFolder admin console, which only displays 15(hard coded) users per page. Usually selecting users across multiple pages for enabling/disabling is slightly difficult job. Since this is an enhancement request marking it as enhancement. There is one another workaround(this is simply another improvised workaround and not a solution to the problem by any means)that can be tried, From iFolder install path open, ifolder3/lib64/simias/admin/Users.aspx and change PageSize="15" to PageSize="100". This will make sure that 100 user get displayed per page and at a time you can enable/disable 100 of them(using select all option). The PageSize setting worked but definatly makes the view awkward. I guess the question really comes down to this..are the users supposed to be disabled by default? If so, why? If required, then modify the UI to enable all without having to modify this setting. Just looking for a better user experience here is all. Thanks. By default all users will be enabled, are you seeing users in disabled status? Yes, that was the primary issue. Since I couldn't resolve that we switch gears to enabling all users..which as you can relate I'm sure it can be a pain to keep up with. Any thaughts to a solution? Regards, Paul This bug was opened in 2010. Is Engineering going fix this?? Is there any value keeping it open?? If not, please close. thanks Boyd |
