My crazy long summary pretty much says it all: in the "details" view during installation, under the "Actions Performed" section, the scroll bar stops automatically scrolling to the bottom. So although rpms are being installed and other stuff is happening, the last thing one sees is libgnutls-extra26 (or some such) being installed.

This goes back to 11.3 and perhaps earlier, too.

Not only that, but you're effectively barred from scrolling down to see the current installs, as the vertical scroll bar is locked from movement while the horizontal progress bar is being updated.

Isn't this a multi-tasking system? Can't one process control the horizontal progress bar while another controls the vertical scrolling?
