If one runs kpackagekit with the apt backend it displays some info about the current download rate. Using the zypper backend this info is not shown because it does apprently not use the speed property offered by PackageKit.

Calling  pk_backend_set_speed() should do.

FYI: At the moment we have a running softwaremgmt update and it is possible to integrate it.

@Christian, kpackagekit is not needed in the update for this bug to get fixed. Is a bug in PackageKit and sr 68819 includes it.

Fixed and works with kpackagekit/apper. Now only number of packages progress is missing. (bug 681524)
