Comment 2 Petr Gajdos 2016-10-10 07:32:24 UTC
The testcase can be found in Ubuntu bug.

13.2/ImageMagick and 12/ImageMagick does not report any error, 11/ImageMagick errors out with 'convert: Improper image header'. No valgrind errors.

For GraphicsMagick, I get:
gm convert: Improper image header (test-15).
No valgrind errors.

As from the nature of the fix, it seems that asan would have to be required for manifesting the bug.

Looking at the code, all versions of ImageMagick seems to be affected, at least by the format of the memory acquisition. For GraphicsMagick, the same code (happens to be directly in WritePSDImage()) looks differently, considering unaffected until someone proves the opposite.
Comment 3 Petr Gajdos 2016-10-13 13:39:55 UTC
I believe all fixed.
