Description Jan T 2017-01-12 08:26:33 UTC
Hi,

in order to build Arch Linux packages for ARM it would be nice adding the
Arch Linux ARM repos[1] to the OBS as a "Download on Demand" resource like the existing one for "Arch:Core", "Arch:Extra", "Arch:Community".

Thanks,
Jan

Hi Marcus, would you please take a look at this issue? I'm not sure whether it is right to assign it to you, please feel free to reassign whenever necessary, thank you!

Hm, the configuration would be most likely easy, but I am unsure atm if this should be part of our current Arch projects. It seems that archlinuxarm has a different ownership then archlinux, is this correct?

Hi Adrian,

indeed. Arch Linux ARM is a port of Arch Linux and AFAIK the only project which provides Arch packages and root filesystems for ARM devices.
So maybe it doesn't fit to the "Arch:Core", "Arch:Extra" and "Arch:Community" Scheme but nice to have it at the OBS anyway :)

Are there any news on this? Currently Manjaro (built upon the Arch repos) is one of the most popular distributions, shipping ARM builds in their repos as well. Their ARM build (aarch64) depend on ArchLinuxARM, so support for ArchLinuxARM (or maybe even Manjaro + ARM) would be great. Thanks in advance!
