Description Michael Radziej 2005-08-08 17:53:56 UTC
While the mouse is used and works fine during installation, the mouse settings
default to "ignore mouse even when present". I use a 3 button Logitech ps/2 mouse.

I'll attach logs.

Marcus, please, take a look.
Comment 6 Marcus Schaefer 2005-08-09 14:39:21 UTC
The probe agent doesn't contain the mouse information from libhd
don't know why... Steffen any idea ?
Comment 7 Steffen Winterfeldt 2005-08-09 15:34:09 UTC
Marcus: No idea. What do you mean? hwinfo reports the mouse, yast2 not?

Michael: please attach the result of 'getsysinfo'.

Comment 9 Steffen Winterfeldt 2005-08-09 15:47:17 UTC
Marcus: there is a kernel interface change that causes hwinfo to always
report 0 buttons currently.
Comment 10 Steffen Winterfeldt 2005-08-10 14:28:01 UTC
Chances are it works better in beta2. Please reopen if not.
Comment 11 Uwe Girlich 2005-08-18 12:32:22 UTC
The problem with the ignored mouse is still there in beta2.
On my machine hwinfo --mouse reports 3 buttons on beta 1 and beta 2.

Also still have this problem with Beta 2 and an IMPS/2 Logitech wheel mouse.
