Description Andreas Jaeger 2005-08-08 18:30:36 UTC
hotplug of USB devices like USB sticks does not work.
Comment 2 Klaus Kämpf 2005-08-08 20:44:35 UTC
Hmm, #102564 says that hotplug itself works but KDE fails
Comment 3 Stephan Kulow 2005-08-09 07:25:29 UTC
the problem is that our hot plug system changed dramatically and libhd didn't
change to reflect that, so while everything using libhd compiles fine but
doesn't work a bit. I'm still in process to rewriting the plugger to use HAL
everywhere.
Comment 4 Steffen Winterfeldt 2005-08-09 08:22:06 UTC
Recent libhd (11.10) should do.
Comment 5 Stephan Kulow 2005-08-15 08:39:16 UTC
we have tons of unconfigured hardware - most likely because yast doesn't write
all of it. Not sure how to cope it yet, but has to wait for beta2 to see. For
now the code is limited to display hardware that is plugged in while KDE runs.
Comment 6 Stephan Kulow 2005-08-16 10:57:17 UTC
I'd say for now this is all fine, I will open new bugs as yast bugs reveal
