Description Andreas Jaeger 2005-08-09 07:34:48 UTC
Updating from 9.3 to 10.0, lilo could not write the bootloader.

The error was :

# lilo -C lilo.conf.yast
Added Linux *
Fatal: APPEND or LITERAL may not contain "vga="

Problem is the following vga=normal in the config file:
append = "ide=nodma apm=off acpi=off vga=normal noresume selinux=0 barrier=o
ff iommu=noforce  3"

We should rewrite the lilo config file and not have vga=normal in the append
line anymore!

Fixed in SVN, will go to Beta2.
