Notebook Siemens E4010 with the Intel MIM2000/Centrino Chipset (PRO/Wireless LAN
2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter (rev4)) can not be set up during installation
Error message 'ipw-firmware' is not installed.

The package could not be found on the installation medium.

Martin, the firmware is provided by YOU, isn't it?

At least on 9.3 no, it is on the media. But PDB says it has a commercial  
license. If this is openSUSE, it is missing from the media for licensing 
reasons I assume. 
Bettina, is this openSUSE?

Actually I am not sure about open or not...it's the isos downloaded from nozzle.

What is the name of the isos? If it contains OSS (Open Source Software), then  
it is openSUSE.

Ok, does that mean that we have to get the firmware from somwhere else? I can't
remember that I had to do this with the 9.3. As far as I remember it worked out
of the box.

So that is the openSUSE release.  The package is simply not on included in
openSUSE.
