Description Cameron Meadors 2005-08-09 14:44:17 UTC
During installation my wireless Atheros based network card was detected and
configured properly, but my Intel ethernet Pro/1000 was ignored. I tried to
configure in through yast, but all the information filled in the blanks was the
information for the already configured wireless card.

I had to change all the information to the correct settings for the ethernet
card using the output from hwinfo --network. I was able to get the card
working, but it was still labeled as an Atheros card. I changed UNIQUE in
/etc/sysconf/network/ifcfg-eth-... to the value reported from hwinfo --network.
I also change NAME for consistency.

It seems that the UNIQUE id might be the source of the problem since it was the
id for the atheros before I corrected it.
