Description Dieter Bloms 2005-08-09 19:06:19 UTC
Hi,

I've configured two networkdevices as shown in the first picture.
Then I wanted to configure my AVM DSL router (plugged to my system via usb) and
then there came a window as shown in picture 2.
It uses the configuration of my atmel card (typ and mac adress) instead the one
used for my avm router (usbnet).
I removed the config for my atmel card and then it used the configuration from
my ethernet device as shown in picture 3.
I removed the config for my ethernet card and then I was able to configure my
avm router (via usbnet) as shown in picture 4.

picture of wrong setting of type and mac address

here you can see, that yast2 uses the configure from my atmel card (the mac
address is the one of my atmel card)

hwinfo output

I've created it with my running 9.3 system, because it is my internet gateway
and I must have a running system on it to file a bug report ;)
Comment 7 Lukas Ocilka 2005-08-09 20:41:34 UTC
This is a very nice bugreport. The only thing that can create some mistake is
that the hwinfo output should be created using the SL 10.0 because of the
different hwinfo (Could be saved to the floppy or somewhere on the disk and
mounted to the running SL 9.3 and then sent to the bugzilla :) ;), couldn't?).

Never mind, I hope 'mvidner' will be happy fixing that having your y2logs :)
