Description Michael Calmer 2005-08-10 10:31:19 UTC
kmix (icon in the taskbar) shows disabled sound and the volume fader for
"PC speaker", but the correct and working volume faders are "PCM" and "Front".

Also the volume fader in amarok does not work.
Comment 1 Michael Calmer 2005-08-10 10:39:14 UTC
Ok, I found out that I can select the channel in kmix and the amarok
volume fader only works with "arts engine" and not with "kdemm engine".

Is this a Bug in the kdemm engine?
Comment 2 Stephan Kulow 2005-08-10 11:44:40 UTC
Adrian claimed the kdemm engine was feature complete, but we can take it out
if we have to - our default engine for amarok is xine or helix.
Comment 3 Michael Calmer 2005-08-10 11:47:27 UTC
Interesting. I only have atrs and kdemm. What do i have to install for
getting xine/helix?
Comment 4 Dirk Mueller 2005-08-10 11:59:28 UTC
due to a different bug the xine engine is not on the CD set yet.
Comment 5 Stephan Kulow 2005-08-21 15:28:51 UTC
please file bug reports about things missing after the sound mess that beta1
was :)
