Description Alfred Vockinger 2005-08-10 15:08:01 UTC
No special characters like \ can be entered in the username at the
proxyconfiguration during installation.

eg. corp\username

When is that? In linuxrc (text mode, before you accept the license) or in yast
(after rebooting and setting the root password)? The backslash should be
allowed in yast (bug 42444). If it is linuxrc, snwint@suse.de maintains it.

It is during installation in yast.
Directly after entering the root password in the network configuratio screen.

If you want change the proxy settings, you can activate an proxy by "Enable
Proxy". But on this screen, no special character is accepted at the field "Proxy
User Name"

I have relaxed the input restriction.
