Bugzilla – Bug 103927
"suspend computer" does not work if an USB HDD connected
Last modified: 2006-06-07 16:06:44 UTC
In KDE, "suspend computer" does not work if I have an USB HDD connected. I get a "suspend2disk failed on unloading 'usb_storage'. Trying to recover...".
This is working as designed. Unplug the harddisk before suspend. Yes, the message could be better but this is unfortunately not that easy to do :-( I'll keep this on my to-do list
I'll tackle this after 10.0
due to lots of other activity in the hotplug / mount area, i have postponed this since there might be better more general solutions coming up. I have not forgotten this issue ;-)
Ok, so we declare this a feature. I'll add it to FATE.
