using suse linux 10.0 beta 1 working behind a firewall and proxy that i have to
authenticate through, when going out to the internet a prompt appears for proxy
authentication. fill in what is needed and click ok, firefox crashes. there is
some info in .xsession-errors but dont see how to attach the file.

doesnt do it all the time
also should note i am using kde, not gnome, so i am not sure if there is some
gtk piece missing from my install

So your firefox is running with Plastik theme?
Please try with the default one and check if it still happens. We might have a
problem with the scheme. (Industrial is also broken at the moment)
