Description James Willcox 2005-08-12 15:10:51 UTC
In SuSE 10, I can't get my atheros wifi card to work at all. After running
'iwconfig ath0 essid foo', I can see after that the correct essid is set after
running 'iwconfig ath0'. However, a few seconds later, the essid goes back to
being blank. During the time where iwconfig shows the correct essid, the AP mac
address is sometimes shown correctly, but usually it is not (FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF).
Comment 1 Joachim Gleissner 2005-08-12 15:17:44 UTC
Are you using WPA?

Comment 2 James Willcox 2005-08-12 15:22:15 UTC
No, I'm not.
Comment 3 Joachim Gleissner 2005-08-12 15:34:01 UTC
Then it's probably the same bug as 104117.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 104117 ***

Indeed, using the workaround suggested in that bug fixed the problem. Thanks!
