Description Thomas Petersen 2005-08-13 03:17:28 UTC
External harddrives are mounted with root access only. Normal user gets a
permissiion denied error. Doing a su i can access the drives fine.

how did you formated the device? the device should be correct mounted with subfs
and the desktop user should be able to access the device.

Check the permissions of the underlying file system and take a look at http://
portal.suse.de/sdb/en/2005/05/dkukawka_usbdisc_writeaccess.html
