Bugzilla – Bug 104686
Multiple selection in YAST "change installation support"
Last modified: 2006-04-06 14:01:16 UTC
When you want to upgrade all your source in YAST "change installation support". You must do it separitly for each source. It would easier if it will be possible to select every source and to update them in one click. -> add the possibility to select multiple source in YAST "change installation support".
You probably mean "Change installation source" module. I don't understand how it should work. What does "one click" mean?
That should be the correct name, I had translate from french. I've got several sources (supplementary kde, supplementary gnome, packman...), to upgrade them I should select them one by one and choose each time "modify" -> "upgrade". A simplier solution could be to allow to select all the source and click on "modify" -> "upgrade". This way every source are upgrade at the same time and not one by one.
Yes, but if you update the sources, you have to enter the new addresses one-by-one anyway. For me it would make sense eg. for enabling/disabling the sources, but I don't see any difference between Choose (by mouse) - Select - Choose - Select - Enable and Choose - Enable - Choose - Enable.
No, the source can be here since a long time and you just want to update them (in example if some new softwares are available on this source). Another solution, is an auto-update of the source ?
I've just seen that 10.0 have an auto-refresh on/off option. It should be the solution I serach, but how does it work ? When this auto-refresh happens : when loading "install or suppress software" or when loading "change installation disk" ?
If I understand this bug correctly, it's kind of a adressed in 10.1. Please retest & reopen in case it's needed.
