cdrom needs boot options to work at all

options hdc=noprobe hdc=cdrom needed to make the cdrom/dvd - drive to work. when you insert disk nothing happens, no applications prompted , you have to open an application (KsCD, file manager...) Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A 7620 laptop The same problem was with SuSE 9.2, 9.3 works fine
Stefan, this may be something for your team. (Hubert is on vacation, so I'm triaging his bugs)
This is a KDE/suseplugger problem.

I noticed my system was broken from the beginning (installation disk 3 didn't pass md5 check). Sound works well. I'm very sorry. Olli K Lehto
