Bugzilla – Bug 104826
Open wireless config starts wpa_supplicant
Last modified: 2005-08-16 08:16:14 UTC
When using YaST2 to configure a wireless device for open authentication (this is no authentication isn't it?), YaST2 sets a buch of WPA_ variables in the /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg- file. wpa_supplicant starts up on "ifup eth1" and an DHCP address is never obtained. Deleting all the WPA_ variables allows the card to work.
It seems to be a duplicate. If it isn't, please reopen the bug and attach y2logs (http://opensuse.org/index.php/Bug_Reporting_FAQ#YaST). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 104117 ***
