Description Joachim Werner 2005-08-17 14:24:58 UTC
On an IBM NetVista with i845 onboard graphics and an Iiyama VisionMaster Pro
450 I am experiencing a refresh rate of only 58 Hz after default installation.

The driver takes the first modeline that is written to xorg.conf and uses that
one. If the modelines are written in reversed order (starting with the largest
one that can be displayed by the display) things are fine.

There is a related bug (#105207) that makes things even worse because it
triggers Sax2 reprobing the hardware and overwriting manual changes to the
configuration.
Comment 1 Marcus Schaefer 2005-08-17 15:57:24 UTC
changed modeline calculation to reverse order, checked sync ranges
