Bugzilla – Bug 105399
Media-check during installation doesn't stop
Last modified: 2005-08-25 10:32:30 UTC
Media-check (CDROM) during the first steps of the installation procedures stops at 99%. CDROM is spinned several times but the check never terminates. To advance in the installation I hit the "stop" but still the CD is spinning and the installation is not going on. (Hardware: Compaq Evo, pentium 4).

Did you try another medium? It seems that there is a read error at the end of the medium. Is it possible to read the medium in a CD writing sofwatre (e.g. to make a copy)?
Made a copy of CD1 and retried. Same result. I'm using CD-RW (700MB, Verbatim). Checksum is correct. Nero has no problem reading and copying from it.

Please, could you test Beta3? The check media utility used by yast was sligthly improved.
Ok, on beta3 it works as expected. Thank you.
OK, resolving as FIXED
