After I plugged in my digicam to the USB port of my workstation, the Konqueror  
camera:/ slave tries to access my camera using an URL like this:  
  
camera:/camera://Canon ....  
  
Needless to say, that this approach fails miserably ... 
 
I guess one camera:/ would be enough ..., wouldn't it :)

please tell me. does it work correctly if you remove the camera:/ 
from /opt/kde3/share/config/susepluggerrc

Nope, doesn't help at all.

Want the camera or need some special log files?

konqueror media:/camera now works fine.

the URL is fixed now - the remaining problems are camera:/  problems

i fixed and submitted a fixed kdegraphics34 already. 
 
so it should be working fine in beta3.

still doesn't work with machine updated from Beta2 to Beta3, still complaining 
about unknown errors and unknown ports.

Shall I try to test against fresh install?

i fixed this ... but it was too late for beta3.

try the updated kdegraphics3-kamera RPM from 
 
/work/built/mbuild/grape-meissner-59/ either i386/ or x86_64/

works with post-beta4 kdegraphics (as shown to jana)
