Bugzilla – Bug 105769
Unable to install in Graphical mode
Last modified: 2005-09-05 08:01:28 UTC
In two of my boxes, I'm unable to install in Graphical mode. I will attach the hardware information of the both the boxes. Issues because of this: 1. Unable to select the installation option like CD, NFS, FTP etc 2. After installing the complete set by default I'm always automatically logged in with the normal user which I have created (I created only one user) and FVWM window manager loads. I don't get gnome-session running. I need to change in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager gdm to xdm and restart xdm. After doing this I will get gnome-session running. At the time of installation I have selected only GNOME packages for installation. Additional info: Both the installation I tried only with CD's and more over text based installation happens from SuSE 9.3 onwards. But when I use NLD9 boot CD's, I have an option to select the source location (FTP, NFS etc). Do you want any other info, please let me know. I will try to provide them

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but try beta-4.
Verified with Beta 4, things are working fine on my PC. I haven't tried with laptop yet.
