Description Klaus Kämpf 2005-08-19 13:05:10 UTC
Sorry, I can't work with OpenOffice.org on SL10. Its slow like hell, it has a
completely different UI, there is no 'migration guide', and I can't access the
background layer of slides.

Please, give me OpenOffice_org1 for SL10.0 !!

I guess this is on _all_ platforms (changing amd64 -> All).

I hardly ever use "office" software, but even my own personal, limited use of
OOo-2.0 beta reveals so many problems that I second this proposal.

the option would be: give us both and let us make the choice.

We are using OOo 2 and there is no reason I can think of to go back to v1.4 even
while the OOo's are beta builds.

It's just personal. Anyways, if it would help ou then my vote would be to add
1.4 as well but keep default to 2.x.

Try de-selecting the checkbox "Use hardware acceleration" under Tools - Options
- View - Graphics output this should solve your problem to some extent.
Comment 4 Andreas Jaeger 2005-08-22 06:52:55 UTC
We are not going back - and you should be able to use the package from 9.3.

Please report bug reports for the real problems you have.

Quite - can you separate your gripes into individual points ? the 'completely
different UI' in impress is IMHO a major feature - and very long overdue :-)
Thanks.
