Description Dr. Werner Fink 2017-10-11 06:28:17 UTC
I'd like to use copy text from an other window and insert this in vim. For this I do copy text with the mouse, press i for insert in vim and let drop the current cut buffer with the right mouse button ... and see `v' instead of the text which is still in the cutt buffer

This break my workflow!

Ahh ... using

  sudo cp ~werner/.exrc /root/

does solve the problem ... but only local. IMHO this might become to be a major problem on SLES-15

X copy-paste-functionality now comes from the gvim package, install it and your command line vim will support this too. Removing X dependency from vim was requested by SLE people.
