Description Bob Glossman 2018-03-23 14:44:56 UTC
This problem was seen immediately when trying to use new SLE-15-Installer-DVD-x86_64-RC2-DVD1.iso. Not seen in RC1. Seen in VMware Fusion on a Mac.

DVD boots, starts to run installer program, then hangs forever.
last console message seen:

starting udev... sh: line 1: 165 killed /scripts/udev_setup 2>&5 1>&2
ok

NOTE: set Version to RC1 in this bug report since there is no selection for RC2 in the list yet. Really seen only in RC2.

pilot error
failed to set reasonble settings in the VM I was creating.
once I set a Memory Size to 2Gb instead of the default of only 384Mb install was fine.
had more correct settings in past installs of SLES15 beta releases

I apologize for the false alarm
