Bugzilla – Bug 113517
hal strange behavior
Last modified: 2006-03-24 08:31:31 UTC
I found this searching sitecopy on the beta3 cd's :-) hal is very strange on unmountig cd's. mount the cd. open folders, serach, ok. then press the cd's button to eject. nothing. No eject" on right clic options :-( trying to close the folders (going upper on the tree). Finally for that or for a witing time reached (?) the cd opens, but close immediatly, one must be very fast to grab the cd. and this as long as the cd stay in the tray. Seems to be only with this writer (I have an other that don't have this problem) - seems that the cd don't stop? (the led is blinking any 10s). I attach the hardware info file storage_model_TSSTcorpCD_R/RW_DRIVE_TS_H292A
Created attachment 47850 [details] hardawre info file hardware info file saved from yast utility
This has nothing to do with HAL.
may be, but this has to do with automounting :-) with the traditional system I have no problem with this drive
This is a hardware problem and not a usability problem. -> Need help by the screening team.
i can't verify that behavior (tested with 2 drives). Button and eject on right click works proper.
may be this drive can be said "only partially supported", however I have not had any problem with mandrake :-( or make the bug "pending" (?) to say that info is needed if ever somebody have. personnally I don't know how do say more :-( thanks
This bug is rather old and seems to have been lost somehow. I'm closing it as wontfix since we will not fix this for 10.0 anymore.
