The failsafe command line options are not very good anymore.

I would suggest to:

Add edd=off on i386/x86-64 (EDD seems to be a common cause of BIOS induced 
hangs)

Remove iommu=noforce on x86-64 (it has been obsolete for a long time
and doesn't do anything)
