Bugzilla – Bug 114276
Russian translation is missing from KDE
Last modified: 2005-12-06 09:22:56 UTC
Russian translation is missing from the KDE menus. Steps to reproduce: In Yast2 choose Russian as a main language, then restart KDE session, then look at the KDE menus. They are all still in English. I'm not sure if I must fill this as a bug, or a feature-request, but all of us understand, that this is a major issue for Russian speakers. (And a blocker issue for Russian-only speakers)
Stephan, could you please check?
Inés asked (comment #1): "Stephan, could you please check?"
Is kde3-i18n-ru installed? Did you install in russian or did you change afterwards?
Alexey Eremenko, will you please answer coolo's question? Is kde3-i18n-ru installed? Did you install in russian or did you change afterwards?
I have installed the KDE-ru packages fater the OS install, and changed language via Yast.
The original SUSE Linux 10 install was in English.
then check your KDE settings. It's very possibly hard coded on first login - which is a feature.
Waiting for feedback for more than two weeks. Please, test again with 10.1.
