Description Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2005-08-31 15:23:36 UTC
The rescue system does not honor the language selection from isolinux.
So i tried to set the keyboard layout manually - but loadkeys is not available.

What language?
Comment 2 Steffen Winterfeldt 2005-09-01 09:29:18 UTC
works fine for me
Comment 3 Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2005-09-01 11:38:46 UTC
default == english, probably, but i'd like to change the layout nevertheless
once logged in ;-)

If you choose English, linuxrc will show a popup. You should have made up
your mind until then. I don't like the idea of blowing up the rescue
system with keymaps.

then it must have failed. I definitely did not select english from the popup :-)
But today it worked for on one machine, so i'll have to investigate if and when
it fails (or if i hallucinated :-) Yes, blowing up the rescue image is a bad
idea (i did not think about the maps, only about the binary, shame on me)

If you booted from a beta-3 medium I'll lynch you for sure. :-)

i wont't say anything without my lawyer :-)
to be honest: i am not sure, it might well be that a beta3 mini iso was
circulating (we are using CDRWs so they are never marked... :-)
