This was the first boot after an update to Beta4:

Disabling IP forwarding

/etc/init.d/boot.coldplug: line 10: /etc/sysconfig/hotplug: No such file or
directory
Coldplug
Coldplug: cleaning /events hwup:Loading module 'lp'  for device 'printer'
 processing events

Hopefully /etc and /etc/sysconfig are part of the root file system.
