Description Ludwig Nussel 2005-09-01 15:34:35 UTC
With dmix enabled, SDL_AUDIODRIVER=alsa and quake3 from
http://www.icculus.org/quake3/ the sound lags. Without dmix there is no lag.

It would be nice if we had an asoundrc in /etc that tells people how to easily
disable dmix, e.g.
#uncomment this to disable dmix
#pcm.!default "plughw"

frozen-bubble also has lag, maybe it's a problem of the SDL alsa backend.
Comment 2 Takashi Iwai 2007-02-23 15:43:14 UTC
Fixed in the latest dmix version.
