Description Beau Steward 2005-09-02 17:19:55 UTC
Using Suse 10.0 Beta 3 on HP Pavilion ZE2000z. Mainboard is ati radeon xpress
200m and cpu is amd turion 64 ml-30.

When attempting to use ndiswrapper for my broadcom 4318 wireless adapter using
the driver and inf provided by hp, after loading the ndiswrapper kernel
module, the system will lock up after some time. The driver in question is for
use with Windows XP 32 bit edition, as I have yet to be able to find a 64 bit
driver. I have to completely remove power or press and hold the power button
until powered off in order to regain control of system.

This is not resolved in beta 4.
Comment 2 Joachim Gleissner 2005-09-05 09:18:08 UTC
You cannot use an 32bit driver in an 64bit environment. Either run a 32bit
linux with your driver, or try to find a 64bit XP driver for your card.
