Bugzilla – Bug 115124
After edit Lexmark X4270 configuration secon entry in YaST2 configuration
Last modified: 2005-09-22 11:33:18 UTC
HW: HP Omnibook 6100, 1 GHz, 768 MB RAM Printer: Lexmark X4270 Printer is working with Z42 printer mode (Foomatic/gimp-print), but after configuration I´ve got two entries. First one the new configuration, second one the old configuration which was automaticly installed. The second entry I can only delete if the printer is not online. And than, what means USB Printer on //Lexmark/4200%20Series? I can not found this link or device?

Sorry, I can't reproduce it Is that problem still in next releases?
Yes, it is still there. The default what YaST want to install is not working: USB printer on //Lexmark/4200%20Series With function Edit I changed the printer connections to /dev/usblp0 and the driver to Z42 and that´s working only for printing. For other printer function there is no driver. YaST creates an new entry and you cannot delete the default one. I guess YaST reads some information from USB port and cannot realize that the printer is configured in a second entry.
Sorry, I forgot to tell you I´m running RC1.
Can I have dmesg output + lsusb?

It is fixed in RC2 If you are using opensuse, try next release (freshest than RC1) If the problem still, please reopen *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 118112 ***
