Bugzilla – Bug 115143
powersave -u fails on pismo powerbook
Last modified: 2005-09-03 18:15:12 UTC
This may be a useage problem, but I can't figure out what might be wrong and this really should be working out of the box. I have powersaved running, as well as pbbuttonsd, but neither appear to work. I will send the hwinfo results as well, let me know what else you need. cat /proc/apm 0.5 1.1 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x01 77% 107 min linux:/lib/modules/2.6.13-3-default # cat /sys/ block/ bus/ class/ devices/ firmware/ kernel/ module/ power/ linux:/lib/modules/2.6.13-3-default # cat /sys/power/ disk resume state linux:/lib/modules/2.6.13-3-default # cat /sys/power/disk shutdown linux:/lib/modules/2.6.13-3-default # cat /sys/power/resume 0:0 linux:/lib/modules/2.6.13-3-default # cat /sys/power/state standby mem disk

Well, it seems that the pbbuttond stuff is somewhat working now after a reboot to do suspend to memory and dimming of the screen, so that is good at least. The powersave -u command still fails, but not sure if it is supposed to work.
DBus communication with powersave daemon is known broken for PPC. I'll have a look at it on Monday (if I hopefully have time enough)... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 105447 ***
