Can the powersave binary connect?
powersave -c
should print "not supported" or "DYNAMIC", if a general error is printed we have
a general DBus problem, otherwise kpowersave is doing something wrong.

Ohh sorry PPC, something is wrong there with dbus communication.
Didn't have a closer look yet...
