HiKey960 overheating - hisi_thermal fff30000.tsensor: sensor <1> THERMAL ALARM
Last modified: 2020-07-30 09:41:51 UTC
While using HiKey960 with Tumbleweed with only 'zypper in <some_packages>', I quickly get: hisi_thermal fff30000.tsensor: sensor <1> THERMAL ALARM: 65370 > 65000 If I blow on the heat sink, temperature goes down quickly and I get: hisi_thermal fff30000.tsensor: sensor <1> THERMAL ALARM stopped: 61065 < 65000 It seems to be a known issue. Not sure if some software could help here. We already have: * cpufreq_dt is set on 'ondemand' for policy0 and policy4 * thermal policy is 'step_wise'
Forgotten bug, sorry about that. First, does it still happen with newer TW kernels? Adding Petr if he could find someone in his team to take a look...
