gtk-sharp requires vte and gtk-sourceview
Last modified: 2005-09-14 18:52:30 UTC
is that really necessary? I get tozens of packages if all I want is a simple gtk-sharp program
Moving to mono team, gtk-sharp contains more than just gtk bindings. Wade Berrier is the packager and the one who would split stuff out.
You must remember, gtk-sharp contains a lot more than gtk-sharp.dll. It contains glib-sharp, art-sharp, and a lot of other gnome/glib libraries. So yes, for now, it is necessary. You can compile from source and only enable the required libraries for your app if you'd like.
I'm not showing a direct dependence on gtk-sourceview for gtk-sharp.
