Description Sonja Krause-Harder 2005-09-08 13:18:07 UTC
Drive is _NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A 1.08, burning DVDs works fine, burning CDs does
not.

Full debug output attached. The medium is one of those Nico uses for
mass-burning, so probably cheap but usable elsewhere.

Comment 3 Stephan Kulow 2005-09-08 13:28:20 UTC
looks like a cdrecord problem to me
Comment 4 Sonja Krause-Harder 2005-09-08 13:58:45 UTC
Also happens with a completely different medium brand (Verbatim).
Comment 5 Vladimir Nadvornik 2005-09-09 08:49:07 UTC
Sense Key: 0x3 Medium Error, Segment 0

This means that the drive does not like the media. There is nothing to fix
in cdrecord.

I think that for ND-1300A there is a newer firmware available, which adds
supported medias.
