Description ender saran 2005-09-08 23:05:32 UTC
Hi Suse Team :)

Firstly I must say.My english is weak.I hope I can help you and myself.

1-I have a Samsung Syncmaster 793MB monitor. I installed
super-openSUSE-beta4-20050904-standard-kde.iso .It recognizes as a Syncmaster4S.
After installattion i started yast2 and chose Syncmaster 710MB
alternatively(1024*768---4:3).I arranged from 15" to 17".It couldn't be what I
want. There are black spaces on top and bottom.

There's no my monitor in your hardware database list. Please correct this
problem. I'm tired to try a different setting.(includes Suse 9.2/9.3 and 10.0)

2-After system opened, sax2 doesn't work/open to arrange a new setting.

What sould I do for more details? I can't see any attach button this page.

Please.Could you give me single address to attach all log files(may be yahoo
mail) or could you explain how to do this basicly.

Best Regards and Thanks a lot from now on :))))

please provide more information about your monitor. Simply call
as user root from runlevel 3:

  /usr/sbin/hwinfo --monitor

and send me the result. Thanks

Comment 14 Marcus Schaefer 2005-10-05 15:55:28 UTC
This has not been fixed for SL 10.0 it was too late for any CD.
So this has been fixed in our so called STABLE system which is the next
SuSE product (10.1)

Thanks
