Bugzilla – Bug 116236
yast keyboard configuration during installation
Last modified: 2008-06-25 09:52:42 UTC
The modules for the configuration for the keyboard (yast->hardware->keyboard) in the graphical and the command-line version from yast are different. In the graphical version, the module from sax2 configuration is used. In the command line, the version from 9.3(?) is used. If you change the keyboard settings, the graphical versions wants to test the video configuration. You can ignore it, but I think it is a bit confusing. Environment: VMWare GSX Server 3.2

maybe the message displayed there is a bit confusing but if you change the keyboard settings they get written to /etc/X11/xorg.conf and to be sure this changes will result in what you want there is the possibility to test the system in a new session.
mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy)
assigned to maintainer
Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED. In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
