Bugzilla – Bug 116361
Wrong Kernel source version for SuSe 10.0 RC1
Last modified: 2005-09-13 16:47:41 UTC
Not sure if this is normal for a release candidate, but the kernel-source package is the wrong version. kernel includes at /usr/src/linux/include do not match current kernel. they are versioned as "2.6.13-8-default" instead of "2.6.13-9-default". you might need to adjust your symlinks:
all of RC1 has 2.6.13-8 as far as I can see. kernel include file, kernel-source version/release number, kernel-$flavor version/release number. how do you get to 2.6.13-9 ?
Try this on your install of RC1: linux:~ # uname -r 2.6.13-9-default
2.6.13-9 is the online update kernel. the CDset has 2.6.13-8. did you install kernel-source from CD _after_ running the online update ?
<feelinglikeadumbass>Yes </feelinglikeadumbass>.Soooo, the kernel is updated, how do I get the sources in sync?
running online update again should offer the kernel update again (and should update the kernel-source package) does this fail ?
