Description Lars Marowsky-Bree 2005-09-11 11:03:37 UTC
The SMP kernel crashes during boot if the nosmp option is specified on a SMP system.

Unfortunately we don't have a serial console cable at BrainShare to capture the
log, but it probably should be easy to reproduce on any other SMP system booted
in nosmp mode. If needed, we'll hunt down a serial console cable...

I have found this also when testing the latest betas for SLES 10. This happened on two different machines, both times it gave an oops and could not find the SATA disk to boot on.

It seems to work now.
