Audigy 2 ZS card problem on i386
Last modified: 2005-09-12 09:33:09 UTC
After update from suse 9.2 (using Yast system update) I have problem to install my sound card. I had no problems on Suse 9.2 before update. Using alsaconf to configure the sound card is working, but not with yast. After reboot sound card not auto started, need manual starting with "rcalsasound restart". error messages using the yast : Sep 11 19:58:47 linux kernel: ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:02:05.0[A] -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 193 Sep 11 19:58:47 linux kernel: ALSA sound/pci/emu10k1/emufx.c:1385: Installing spdif_bug patch: Audigy 2 ZS [SB0350] Sep 11 19:58:47 linux hal-resmgr: resmgr: communication failure: Broken pipe Sep 11 19:58:54 linux kernel: ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:02:05.0 disabled Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/snd/midiC0D1, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/amidi, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/snd/pcmC0D4p, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/snd/pcmC0D4c, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/snd/controlC0, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/midi, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/snd/pcmC0D2p, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/snd/pcmC0D1c, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/snd/pcmC0D3p, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/snd/pcmC0D2c, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/snd/pcmC0D0c, acl_set_file: No such file or directory Sep 11 19:58:54 linux resmgr[4446]: set_facl() - ACL error on /dev/snd/timer, acl_set_file: No such file or directory How can I start the device automaticaly? Tamas
Hardware information says the modole NOT active, how can I activate? Tamas
Well, after login as root to gnome and playing with yast and alsaconf, the problem solved. Don't know how! Well, probably a clean install would be needed. ( my 9.2 was updated from 9.1, maybe there is some mess up in my box)
Hmm, also I have no idea what went wrong. Please reopen this if happens again.
