unknown LCDs get the wrong resolution
Last modified: 2008-07-16 15:46:49 UTC
the powerbook 4 gets 9C21 (with an incorrect resolution) even if hwinfo says something else. Do I really have to find every powerbook out there and add have it added to the database? boysenberry:~ # hwinfo --monitor 20: None 00.0: 10000 Monitor [Created at monitor.373] Unique ID: rdCR.Q_o4CwwGYZ4 Hardware Class: monitor Model: "Apple Color LCD" Vendor: APP "Apple" Device: eisa 0x9c2b "Color LCD" Size: 25x18 cm Resolution: 1024x768@60Hz Config Status: cfg=new, avail=yes, need=no, active=unknown
yes if your powerbooks reports wrong or incomplete DDC records there is only the way of collecting information in the CDB. Well This one reports the resolution but no sync ranges... very bad can you provide some information about the sync ranges ? Thanks
Created attachment 49653 [details] Xorg.0.log fbset output cant be used because OFfb is active. maybe the X log helps
fixed but I'm not sure if it will be checked in for 10.0
